Stumbled up on this site off Unplugged Woodworkers Facebook Group. We are accustomed to sinker cypress/lumber around here from rivers and swamps, but did you know that you can also harvest fallen tree from underground? This also is the first time I saw black oak, and it is gorgeous. Check it out!

Self-taught hobbyist woodworker, aspired to build fine furniture. As his 15'x8' shop limits housing large power tools, he often takes hand tools to the work to achieve many of his woodworking tasks. Despite being Japanese, he reaches out to western saws and planes first.

  1. I’d like to find out what the status of this project is at the moment. I think it would be the coolest thing for our club to make a nominal donation so we can be part of a woodworking project so unique. That tree was alive almost before the dawn of history. How special is that?
