Marucci Sports Company Tour

Our members took a tour of the Marucci Sports Company that is now recognized as Major League Baseball’s official bat manufacturer. Who would believe it is one of Baton Rouge’s hidden gems! They handle around 55% of the bats for the league and are also intertwined with the minors, colleges, high schools and other various organizations. This company started in the back yard shed of a former LSU coach and has grown into a worldwide enterprise. It’s amazing the number of buildings they occupy just in this location. They pride themselves on their attention to quality and it shows in their processes. The only real automated aspect of the fabrication are the lathe stations which would be understandable. The rest is done by hand! Our thanks to Natalie for the tour and putting up with our group and our questions.
